Top quality oboe reeds.
Our material comes from the Var region in France, globally renowned for the quality of its Arundo Donax cane. The material is carefully selected and harvested, allowing us to maintain a rigorous quality control process starting from the plantation. It is then transported to the El Bierzo region in Spain. This area has a very special mild Mediterranean microclimate. Thanks to this climate, the drying process is much more uniform, providing a material of the highest quality. We meticulously handle the peeling, drying, cutting, and classification of the tubes. This process takes 1 to 2 years, ensuring that the material is in optimal condition for use.
A solution for every need.
At EG-REEDS, we understand that there isn’t just one way to perceive and experience reeds. That’s why we offer a wide range of customization options (diameter, thickness, hardness, scrape, length of scrape…) and products (reeds for students, professionals, gouged pieces, shaped pieces, tubes…). We also provide the necessary accessories for your reeds and the most modern machines, allowing us to meet the needs of all oboes and oboists. Additionally, we now offer a service for the sale and rental of oboes for beginner and intermediate-level students.
Satisfaction guaranteed.
At EG-REEDS, customer satisfaction and quality are our top priorities. All our products are handcrafted, one by one, using the most precise and modern tools. Each product undergoes a thorough quality control before being offered for sale. Additionally, we provide the best pre-sales and post-sales advice as oboe professionals.
