EG-REEDS in Madrid on 9 and 11 March 2018.

We are very happy to announce “EG-REEDS in Madrid”.

On March 9 we will be at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00.

Come to visit us if you want to know our way of working and if you want to try our beginner, intermediate or professional reeds. You can also learn more about the KGE profiling machine, as well as advise on shaper forms, staples, or profiling machines.

On March 11 we will hold a workshop on oboe reeds from 11:00 to 14:00 at the Katarina Gurska Higher Center ( Calle de Sta Engracia, 181, 28003 Madrid) , also in Madrid. This Workshop is completely free.

The workshop has two parts:

Theoretical part:

In the oboe reeds workshop we will talk about oboe reed making from the origin of the plant, through the drying of the cane and selection of the material. And all the steps up to the tying of the reed and scraping. And also the different tools existing in the market for scraping and manufacture oboe reeds.

Practical part:

At the end of the theoretical part, students can bring their reeds in order to be able to deal with practical cases. We will try to give them tools so that they can solve future problems.
